The faucets and valves in our homes are such a common and reliable convenience, most of us take them for granted. Until one of them stops working, that is. Because while they typically last for several years, malfunctions can still occur. Rather than panicking when you discover a covered problem, you can simply place a service request online or call American Home Shield®.

American Home Shield will cover up to $1,000 should the contractor need to cut through concrete to access any system components.

Yes, all 3 of our home warranty plans, ShieldSilver, ShieldGold, ShieldPlatinum, include coverage for the parts and components of faucets & valves. 

All 3 of our home warranty plans include coverage for the parts and components of faucets & values, including shower heads and arms, valves for the shower and tub, diverters, angle stops, risers and gate valves, and hose bibs. Please see the coverage details on the page above or the plan agreement for more information on limitations and exclusions.

Our standard home warranty plan agreement term is 1 year and can be renewed upon expiration. You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. You will not be charged until your coverage begins at the 30-day mark. 

If we can’t repair your faucet or valve, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement and remove the defective item. 

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.
